So You Are on Dialysis: Maximizing Your Quality of Life While on Dialysis

There are over 660,000 people in the United States with Kidney Failure. Of those, over 460,000 are on Dialysis. There are controllable and uncontrollable factors that determine how well patients do while on dialysis. This includes both the length and quality of their life. The most critical, controllable factor is how closely they adhere to their treatments, medications, and the instructions provided to them by their Dialysis Team.

This book is a must-read for dialysis patients and their family members. After working in dialysis for over 27 years, the author has compiled several key focus areas for dialysis patients that can majorly impact their lives while on dialysis. These focus areas are all explained in detail with information geared to reinforce the education and training given to them by their dialysis team.

"I have been with several patients as they were passing away and so many of them just wished they could have a little more time with their loved ones." This book is dedicated to every dialysis patient and their family members in an effort to do just that; give dialysis patients a little more time and a better quality of life.

In the front of the book, there are excerpts from various members of the dialysis team, allowing them to tell you how important these focus areas are to your wellbeing. We all care and want the best for you; that is why we do what we do.
