Item description from seller

First stated Harper Torchbook. An impressive softcover tome featuring mod-ish cover, daunting length, and a host of droll illustrations from Ernest Shepard -- this particular volume has been largely well-preserved, though not without some degree of shelfwear. There are signs of a crease to lower, outer front cover, chipping of spine, foxing of edges, and rubbing on front and back covers + severe bumping. Nonetheless, interiors remain white, tight, and clean. See photos.

Store description

These volumes represent the cream of my aunt's voluminous collection, which includes signed first editions from a friend's defunct Lincoln City store, antiquarian tomes a Reed professor bequeathed decades ago, and the art & design section of downtown Portland's long-lamented NorWester Bookshop. Given spatial constraints, I've little choice but to liquidate the inventory she spent a lifetime accumulating, but my dilemma opens opportunities for the right consumer. Shop freely and enjoy in her memory!
