The Diary of Samuel Pepys, Volume One, Containing Volumes I-III (1659-1663)

Very Good+: shows very light wear to the extremities; mild rubbing to the panels and a hint of scuff to the publisher's name (Harcourt Brace & Company: the title pages: G. Bell & Sons) ; a faint patch of shelf-soiling to the bottom edge of the india paper text block near the outside edge; a former owner's tasteful bookplate affixed to the front pastedown endpaper; the binding leans ever so slightly off square but remains secure; the text is clean. A handsome, carefully-used copy, structurally sound and tightly bound, showing very mild wear and minor, unobtrusive imperfections. A lovely little reading volume. NOT a Remainder, Book-Club, or Ex-Library. 12mo (7.5 x 5.15 x 1.25 inches). Transcribed by the Late Rev.
