Small octavo, illustrated printed wrappers, vii, 484 pp., four additional leaves at back (unpaginated). Very light foxing on first and last leaves, a little wear on the binding where the covers meet the first and last leaves, pale mark on back cover; otherwise a near-fine copy in a clear plastic dust-jacket. 1942 American reproduction of a 1936 Japanese to English French German dictionary of aeronautical terms, covering everything from aeronautics to balloons and airships to aeroplane components, armaments, navigation and meteorological phenomena. This reproduction from the Headquarters of the Army Air Forces, produced under the supervision of the Director of Intelligence Service in Washington D. C., also includes indices of selected terms in Kanji/Kana, Romaji, English, French and German. The first leaf is stamped with a triangular ex-libris that reads: "The Aeronautical Library of Willliam Burden". The last leaf has a red Naval Service stamp that states the book once belonged to a Thom, S. and records the book as being No. W183.
