Hardcover. Volumes 1 & 2 (unclear whether more were published). French dictionary of religious concepts and truths, with numerous examples of each drawn from the Scriptures and from history. The purpose was to make religious instruction more interesting and relevant. Very good minus in three quarter black leather over black cloth boards with 5 raised bands to spine and bright gilt title to spine. Wear to corners; leather cracking and wrinkling on spines and hinges. Ex Libris - remnants of library sticker on spines, stamp to title pages. Chipping to leather on spine ends. Marbled endpapers; interior is clean and tight, text bright. In French. 800, 799 pages. SCARCE Religion. FRE/6213 This set may require an extra shipping fee.
