It's Not About the Diet: Feel Strong and Alive RIGHT NOW

What happens when a tiny, butterfl y-shaped gland in your neck starts to malfunction?
Taking a pill won't fix the problem ... nor will surgery. What's left?
It's called the thyroid, the "master gland of the metabolism." When it starts to wear down, or gets overworked, or stops altogether, you feel awful. Your doctor prescribes pills--then advises you to remove the gland. It's small. It can't be that bad.

A doctor told Desiree Green she needed to have her thyroid removed. After surgery, instead of instant healing, Green watched her health deteriorate even more rapidly. She slipped into depression, experienced debilitating chronic fatigue and anxiety, and had terrible concentration and awful mood swings. It's Not About the Diet is Green's journey of healing and outline for her healthcoaching strategy. In it, she also reveals a secret she learned along the way about why dieting doesn't work.
If you're tired

- of taking pills
- of listening to doctors who don't help
- of not getting better
There is hope! You can get at the root cause and find alternative ways of healing.

Desiree Green didn't start out as a health coach. For the past two decades, she has been a program analyst, working her way into a supervisory role, but her life turned upside down when she was told she had to have her thyroid removed. She took steroids, anti-depressants, and enough antibiotics to kill any germ. Nothing worked. Fed up watching the life she knew slip away, Green decided to take her health into her own hands. What she discovered changed her life. The healing Green experienced based on her own extensive research was so transformative that she felt she had been given a gift she must share with others. Green is now a health coach specializing in holistic and herbal medicine and coaches others on the steps necessary to achieve lasting health and wellness in mind, soul, and body. In "It Is Not About the Diet," Green takes readers along with her on a journey of healing. She shares her initial struggles dealing with the mental and physical toll taken by thyroid disease, a condition that affects more than 20 million Americans. And she reveals a secret she learned along the way: that constant dieting will not help anyone with the mental and emotional issues that come from over and undereating. That there's a bigger picture of holistic healing that can only start when root causes are addressed. For the millions of people around the world suffering from today's modern plagues-mental illness, obesity, metabolic disease, autoimmunity, thyroid disease, and more-there is hope! Green's mission is to help others discover what it takes to find balance and live an active and healthy life, using the techniques she has discovered that help her manage her own health and stay well, including yoga, essential oils, herbal remedies and much more.
