David Rath, MA, RD, LDN is a registered dietitian and owner of David Rath Nutrition, Inc., in Little Rock, Arkansas. David counsels patients for nutrition-related health problems, weight loss, general wellness, and sports nutrition. He also provides wellness services to organizations that want to ensure a healthy workforce, frequently speaks to various community groups, and appears as a nutrition expert in print and broadcast media. A member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, David also belongs to the Academy's Weight Management Dietetic Practice Group and the Sports, Cardiovascular and Wellness Dietetic Practice Group. He has a Certificate of Training in Adult Weight Management from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and the Commission on Dietetic Registration. Previously, David was Nutrition Chief for the Arkansas Department of Health. He also served on the Arkansas Governor’s Council on Fitness and was chair of the nutrition committee of the Arkansas Coalition for Obesity Prevention and served on its executive committee. David was on the executive board of the Arkansas Food Policy Council and chaired its nutrition committee. He has presented at numerous national and state conferences and has been published in the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Journal of Chronic Diseases. David, due to his community service, also had the honor of being chosen as a torchbearer for the Salt Lake City 2000 Olympics.
