Digging Your Own Well: Daoism as a Practical Philosophy

The most translated book in the world is the Dao De Jing, and many people can cite quotations from it such as "the journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step", "governing a great nation is like cooking a small fish", "the more laws there are, the more thieves there will be", or, "truthful words are not beautiful, beautiful words are not truthful". Yet very few people know much of anything at all about the ancient Chinese philosophy that it is based upon. This book not only helps modern people understand Daoism, but also how to integrate it into your everyday life.

Bill Hulet (Cloudwalking Owl) has spent most of his life as an activist working for a variety of important causes---mainly dealing with the environment. At the same time, he's studied under a wide variety of spiritual teachers---mainly Daoist, but also Christian and Buddhist. He currently lives in Guelph Ontario, Canada.
