A Digital Anthropology

The book A Digital Anthropology Effect on Human Social Behaviour explores how digital technologies reshape human interaction, identity, and culture. It defines digital anthropology as the study of behavior in online and hybrid environments such as social media, gaming platforms, and virtual worlds. The core argument is that digital life is co-produced by humans and technology through algorithms, platform design, and data systems that influence communication, attention, and identity formation. Users actively construct identities and communities while being shaped by digital infrastructures. The book traces the field from cyberculture studies to contemporary AI- and algorithm-driven environments. It presents key theories including Actor-Network Theory, social constructivism, posthumanism, and network theory. Methodologically, it emphasizes digital ethnography and computational approaches like network analysis. It also discusses surveillance, digital inequality, algorithmic bias, and psychological effects such as social comparison and attention fragmentation, concluding that digital anthropology explains the co-creation of modern social reality.
