- Book 1 of 7: Marketing Made Easy: Your Small Business Playbook
Digital Doorways: Your First Steps to a Stand-Out Online Business is the foundational guide in the "Marketing Made Easy: Your Small Business Playbook" series. This book is specifically crafted for small and medium business owners across all industries—from retail and restaurants to healthcare and construction—who are looking to establish, strengthen, or rethink their online presence.
The core problem this book addresses is the common feeling of being lost or overwhelmed when it comes to digital marketing. Many small business owners either don't know where to start, rely too heavily on temporary solutions like social media, or struggle with budgeting their marketing efforts effectively. This guide demystifies these initial hurdles by presenting essential concepts in a straightforward, actionable manner, designed for those with no prior marketing background.
Key takeaways from this book include:
- Understanding the "Why": Why a well-planned online presence is absolutely crucial for modern business success, moving beyond simple social media posts to a comprehensive strategy.
- Your Website as Your Home Base: Emphasizing the critical role of a dedicated website as the central hub for all marketing activities, offering unparalleled control, credibility, and long-term sustainability compared to relying solely on social media platforms.
- Digital Tools as Team Members: A unique and practical perspective on viewing your website and social media profiles as essential "employees" that need clear roles, ongoing "training" (optimization), and proper "management" to deliver results.
- Smart Spending, Smart Growth: A clear framework for navigating annual marketing and website budgets, explaining how to allocate resources strategically for both essential maintenance and innovative growth, with tailored examples for various industries.
- Crafting a Consistent Brand Image: The importance of creating a unified, clear, and emotionally appealing brand image that works seamlessly across all online and offline channels, building trust and recognition.
This book serves as the crucial first step in your marketing education, providing the fundamental knowledge and practical exercises needed to build a solid online foundation. It prepares readers for the more specific strategies covered in subsequent books in the series, such as SEO, content creation, social media mastery, and paid advertising. By the end of "Digital Doorways," small business owners will possess the confidence and the initial toolkit to make their online presence work harder for their business, paving the way for sustainable growth and increased customer engagement.

Store description
**Please note our transit times are from the date of dispatch.** We first started out as “The Paperback Exchange,” a chain of physical bookstores where we would part exchange your beloved books for new stories to transport you to faraway places. However, as shopping started to evolve to online shops and marketplaces, we bid our stores goodbye to become “PBShop.” This transition has only allowed us to blossom as we now ship thousands of titles to book lovers across the globe. We pride ourselves in being a community of local book lovers which allows our passion and devotion to shine in everything we do. In 2020 we not only celebrated our 20th birthday but our 1st birthday as being completely employee owned after becoming an E.O.T in September 2019. We are proud to be different and embrace standing apart on a book mountain by working from a virtual inventory which allows us to provide thousands of books that may be difficult to get for your bookshelf or your studies. Working with a number of different suppliers allows us to explore other avenues such as puzzles, sheet music and even stationery so we really do have something for everyone. Life is about being versatile in all realms of existence. If this is your first purchase with us, or you are a returning customer, we would like to welcome you to the PBShop family, for there is no friend as loyal as a book. We are a company who put our customers at the centre of everything we do as we understand the importance of reading because once you learn to read, you will forever be free. There are a whole lot of things in this world of ours that we are yet to explore, which is why we will forever inspire curious minds.…
