Synopsis

The majority of the poems in Michael G. Verses' debut collection were written from 2000 to 2008. Drawing from the richness of his past and his study of the occult and religion, the poet has described his works as "street-wise, and also visionary." About the Author

Michael G. Verses is a gifted poet and writer. He writes about what he has personally experienced, and is of the opinion that life is to be lived, not simply imagined, that dreams and reality need not be divided. The author lives as far as he can from the mainstream agreement of society, and holds individuality as sacred. The author's poetry looks back on his past in the dark shadows of urban life. After graduating high school and attending college, Mr. Verses has worked as a tarot reader, among other occupations. He includes among his hobbies writing, reading, exercising, practicing magic, and taking care of his cats. The author lives in Oregon. This is his first volume of poetry.
