The Dimension Stone: Book 1 (Paperback or Softback)

In "The Dimension Stone," Captain Will Chambers and Major Jessica Turner lead the Stardust crew on a critical mission to intercept and neutralize the glowing Cometoid 687G before it possibly crashes into Earth. Their mission takes an unexpected turn while investigating the cometoid, as they inadvertently trigger an explosion that hurls them into a corridor filled with elements of Hindu cosmology.
Stranded in an alternate reality where World War I never unfolded and nuclear technology advanced two decades earlier, the crew navigates a world that is both eerily familiar yet starkly different. This new environment, with its advanced nuclear societies and altered global politics, challenges their understanding of history, technology, and their own identities.
Amid these challenges, they confront a formidable adversary: a doppelgänger of one of the crew members who is the powerful Head of Empire Security. This counterpart is obsessively pursuing the secrets of the Dimension Stone—an object they believe can control portals between dimensions—with plans to invade other realities.
To return to their own universe, the crew must outwit this doppelgänger and find this reality's version of the Dimension Stone to activate the necessary portal. Their journey is fraught with external threats and internal dilemmas, forcing them to confront deep questions about identity and morality.
"The Dimension Stone" weaves a tale of adventure and existential inquiry, exploring the profound impact of historical deviations on the fabric of reality. As the Stardust crew unravels the mysteries of the Dimension Stone and fights to secure a path home, they find themselves embroiled in a cosmic struggle that could determine the fate of multiple dimensions
