Dingo & Jake : The Lives of God?s Little Angels and the Brothers Who Loved Them

From an early age, he saw dogs as four-legged angels on earth—ones he felt drawn to care for and protect. So when Al Mettner moved into a sprawling mountain home with his brother Jim, he couldn’t wait to share the spacious land with some pups of their own.

As if sent by God above, Jake and Dingo soon appeared in the brothers’ lives. From the time of their adoption and throughout the rest of their years, the dogs and their masters remained as close as could be—embarking on countless adventures and traveling back and forth from the snowy Bradshaw Mountains to their second home in sunny Mexico.

In Dingo & Jake, Mettner shares the story of these two special canines and the unique impact they made on the brothers they shared their lives with. Allan "Al" Mettner is a dog lover, Humane Society volunteer, and an elder at his Bible-based church. In addition to publishing yearly reviews for his church, he has also written a number of articles for his local newspaper. He is a CERT first responder and registered Red Cross volunteer.

Mettner owns two homes with his brother Jim-one, in the Bradshaw Mountains, and the other at Lake Chapalla, Mexico. Together, Al and Jim have devoted their lives to God and caring for the dogs they have raised together.
