A fun introduction to eleven different dinosaurs—their size, their diet, the pronunciation of their names, and their distinctive characteristics.
Now young children can read about dinosaurs—even how to say their names—by themselves. "Shouts of welcome will greet this new addition to the I Can Read series." (Horn Book) "Excellent illustrations. A virtual necessity for any library that serves primary-grade children." (School Library Journal)
Peggy Parish is best known for her stories about Amelia Bedelia, the literal-minded housekeeper. Arnold Lobel's beloved books include four in the Frog and Toad series.

About the Author
Peggy Parish (1927–88) first created the beloved character Amelia Bedelia in 1963. She wrote a total of twelve books about the zany antics of the charming housekeeper. Peggy Parish’s nephew, Herman Parish, then carried her tradition into the twenty-first century with new stories about classic Amelia Bedelia and new books about her childhood. With total sales of 60 million copies, Amelia Bedelia is one of the most iconic children’s book characters of all time.
Arnold Lobel (1933–1987) illustrated many wonderful children’s books but is most beloved for his Frog and Toad stories, including the first one, Frog and Toad Are Friends, published in 1970. The books have garnered much acclaim, including a Caldecott Honor for Frog and Toad Are Friends and a Newbery Honor for Frog and Toad Together. These were followed by Frog and Toad All Year and Days with Frog and Toad.
