Award-winning author Thomas P. Hopp is an active member of the Mystery Writers of America and the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America. He writes action-packed adventures, mysteries, and science fiction tales, often with some notes of romance thrown in. He is noted for thorough scientific research on the background subject matter of his stories, and for solid pacing and heart-pounding excitement. He worked with paleontologist Jack Horner excavating bones of nest-building duckbilled dinosaurs and published the "brooding-to-flight hypothesis," in which birds developed wing feathers first for nesting and then for flying. He has lived in San Diego and on Manhattan Island, but now lives near Seattle.
