octavo, 1 thick volume bound in purple cloth covered boards with moderately heavy wear to covers , front joint, a bit weak, but holding. As this is a thick volume, it should be used carefully. Contents generally very good with age toning of paper. The front free end paper ans first map are detached from binding and worn along edges, but map in good condition, all illustrations and maps called for are present and in very good condition except that map shwing passages in the soyh pacific is completely torn along fold, but complete. pp. lvi, 1119. Text in English. A good copy. There is a book plate of an earlier owner on the front pastedown. Note: due to size and weight, shipping outside the USA will be more expensive than an average book.
