In this book, well look at how we argue, and how we can argue more effectively. Building on discussions in Western philosophy, well examine the different modes and methods of discourse and analysis. While this book looks at numerous obstacles to productive dialogue, it also offers reasons for hope. Humans are social beings we are disposed to get along. Ethical Choices reveals how philosophy both ancient and modern, can help us in the project of mutual, sympathetic understanding.
