Amit Kumar Thakur is the Head of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Intiative in The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), New Delhi. He has been actively involved in the social sector for over 15 years. He is B Tech in Mechanical Engineering and has done post-graduation in Social Work and Intellectual Property Rights, Environment and Sustainable Development. With diverse experience in the education sector, Amit Kumar Thakur has handled issues pertaining to IPR, formulated marketing strategies, and designed community development projects. In TERI he has been in various profiles including marketing, product development, IPR, sustainable tourism, strategy formulation, community projects, and CSR. He has published several articles, book chapters, and edited books on social development, education, CSR, natural resource management, management solutions, conservation issues, environment, climate change, and sustainability. He has been awarded for his contribution in the fields of CSR, education, sustainability, and sustainable development. He has been closely working with the corporate sector, NGOs, funding organizations, think tanks, civil society and academic institutions.
Narayan Singh works with The Energy and Resources Institute, New Delhi. He did his PhD and MSc in Agroforestry from Department of Forestry and Environmental Science, Kumaun University, Nainital, Uttarakhand. He has worked with institutes such as Herbal Research and Development Institute, Mandal, Gopeshwar, Chamoli, GB Pant Institute of Himalayan Environment and Development, Almora and Department of Forestry and Environmental Science, Kumaun University, Nainital. Narayan Singh has extensively worked in the fields of extension of medicinal plants of Uttarakhand. He also worked in Traditional Agro-Ecosystems of Uttarakhand. He has published more then 40 research papers, articles, and abstracts in various national and international journals/magzines. He has also authored/co-authored books on biodiversity, climate change and medicinal plants.
