The Disciple's Prayer: Learning to Pray from Jesus

If you are like many Christians, you know prayer is important, but you struggle to pray effectively. What if you could learn to pray from Jesus Himself? No one prayed more effectively, and more passionately, than Jesus. Thankfully, Jesus teaches you exactly how to pray. The Lord's Prayer is how Jesus taught us to pray. Jesus never intended this prayer to be recited as a ritual at worship services, weddings, and funerals. Rather, Jesus intended for us to use the Lord's Prayer as a model for our own prayers. Perhaps the Lord's Prayer should be called the Disciple's Prayer since this prayer has been given to us so we might know how to approach our heavenly Father effectively. In this book, Pastor Tommy Meador examines the Disciple's Prayer phrase by phrase, uncovering its riches in an attempt to encourage you to approach your heavenly Father with confidence. Rediscover the power of prayer through this simple yet profound prayer that Jesus teaches us to pray. Let the Disciple's Prayer revolutionize how you communicate with your heavenly Father.

Tommy Meador is the pastor of Big Stevens Creek Baptist Church in North Augusta, South Carolina. He holds a Ph.D. from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Tommy and his wife, Staci, live in North Augusta with their son, Luke.
