About this title

Synopsis

It’s Time For Discipleship That Works

Grant Edwards has spent 50 years developing a plan of disciplemaking that works.

Grant became a discipler a few months after accepting Jesus. He then led over 100 hippies to know Jesus within three months.

With many looking to him for guidance, Grant began developing the content in this book that’s now been used by thousands around the world. It’s discipleship that works!

You can do this!

80% of people who accept Jesus walk away from their faith within three months.

Just 20% are still following Jesus at the 90-day mark.

Here’s a proven strategy to flip those numbers. Follow the LampPost Strategy and you’ll…

• Increase the number of people who come into your church
• Decrease the number who drift away
• And see significant spiritual growth that changes lives— forever.

The LampPost Strategy is doable—by both you and those in your church who hunger for a more satisfying, energized walk with Jesus.

It’s time for discipleship that’s more than slogans and promises.

It’s time for discipleship that works.

About the Author

Pastor Grant Edwards served as Senior Pastor of Fellowship Christian Church in Springfield, Ohio, for 49 years. His ministry began during the Jesus Movement during the early 1970s when he led a group of newly converted, scraggly, non-conforming hippies to start a ministry called the One Way House. This ministry grew into Fellowship Christian Church.Over the past decades, Grant has traveled internationally over 90 times and throughout the USA, teaching First Steps Conversations and other materials. His interest in discipleship began when he realized that 80 percent of those accepting Jesus walked away from faithfulness soon after conversion. His book, First Steps Conversations, is a 49-year researched and practiced one-to-one discipleship plan that reverses this trend.Grant writes a six-days-per-week blog called Interruptions that focuses on grace, following Jesus, and practices for living with peace, power, and provision in difficult times.
