A Disco Pogo Tribute To LCD Soundsystem

The third instalment in the Disco Pogo Tribute series celebrates the best electronic post-punk band on the planet, LCD Soundsystem.

A Disco Pogo Tribute To LCD Soundsystem follows the hugely successful Disco Pogo Tribute books on Daft Punk and Aphex Twin that have been reprinted numerous times.

As with Daft Punk and Aphex Twin, the subjects of our first two Disco Pogo Tribute books, we have a long-standing relationship with James Murphy, LCD Soundsystem and the wider DFA crew which gives us a unique insight into the band, if we do say so ourselves.

Edited by Disco Pogo editor Jim Butler, as usual the book is full of features, interviews and essays from the best music journalists working today, alongside a timeline, family tree, gear and gig-lists. We’ve also included some choice archive features from Jockey Slut and Dummy magazine.

Official/unofficial LCD photographer Ruvan Wijesooriya supplies the cover portrait of James Murphy and inside is filled with a wealth of exclusive, never-before-seen photography from Ruvan, Tim Soter, Tim Saccenti and other photographers who’ve been close to LCD since the start.

Weighing in at 308 pages, this is the chunkiest tribute book yet, and is finished of with a (sound of) silver cloth spine and bookmark ribbon.

And of course it’s the same size and format as the first two books to make sure they all look perfect together on your bookshelf.

Jim Butler is an experienced music journalist and is the editor of electronic music magazine Disco Pogo. He has edited books on Daft Punk, Aphex Twin, LCD Soundsystem and Andrew Weatherall amongst others.
