Patriote italien, membre de la Jeune-Italie, Felice ORSINI fut plusieurs fois emprisonné avant d'être élu député. Auteur avec Mazzini de plusieurs tentatives d'insurrections, il gagna Londres pour préparer un attentat contre Napoléon III qu'il jugeait traître à la cause italienne. Passé en France en janvier 1858, il il fit exploser une bombe contre le cortège impérial qui fit 8 morts et 148 blessés. Défendu par Jules FAVRE, il fut exécuté le 13 mars 1858 au terme d'un procès qui fédéra toute l'opposition au régime impérial. Seller Inventory # 28530
