Discover Geography Teacher’s Guide 8 offers comprehensive support for delivering high-quality geography lessons with confidence. It equips teachers with the tools, strategies and subject knowledge to bring geography to life in the classroom and beyond – whether they are experienced specialists or new to teaching the subject.
This complete and compelling geography curriculum supports the KS3 Geography National Curriculum for England, Cambridge Lower Secondary Humanities, and IB MYP Individuals and Societies.
Teacher’s Guide 8 is structured around the same enquiry-led approach as the Student Book, with each chapter focused on a big geographical question that builds knowledge, skills and curiosity.
Written by a team of expert educators and geographers, the guide reflects the latest thinking in geography education and supports inclusive, culturally responsive teaching.
- Save time with fully resourced and adaptable lessons that include detailed plans, clear learning intentions, scaffolding strategies and guidance on how to support all learners
- Gain insight into the curriculum’s framework to better understand its structure and development
- Understand the purpose of the activities and assessments to effectively track students' skill and knowledge development across units
- Plan for misconceptions and their remedies before each lesson to ensure accurate understanding
- Enhance teaching quality with support for effective explanations, including tips for using globes, diagrams and analogies for complex concepts
- Support all learners with tools like sentence starters, visual aids and modelling techniques for interpreting data and graphs
- Assess students’ progress with provided answers and exemplar responses for the Student Book and Workbook tasks
