Discovering Identity Through Intimacy:: Who You Are, Why You’re Here and Where You’re Going Facilitator’s Guide

Have you ever asked yourself, Who am I? Going beyond questions like, how do I look? Or, how do I feel? Even deeper than the reflection you see in the mirror or the daily, sometimes hourly, mood changes. But taking the time to contemplate the question: Who am I?

In this curriculum, author Jordyn Larkins, unpacks this existential question and invites the reader to not just meditate on it, but work out the answer. Contrary to popular belief, identity, worth, and value do not flow from the waters of lifestyle choice, relationship goals, or status and influence. Instead, Jordyn argues that it flows from the well of intimacy.

This curriculum:

• Challenges your understanding of identity
• Offers working definition for concepts like assignment, calling, and purpose
• Proposes a counter-cultural perspective of intimacy
• Includes activities and questions to aid facilitators in eliciting transformational discussions
