Discussions And Arguments On Various Subjects (1872)

Discussions and Arguments on Various Subjects is a collection of essays and speeches by John Henry Newman, a prominent British theologian and writer of the 19th century. The book covers a wide range of topics, including religion, politics, education, and literature. Some of the essays are philosophical in nature, while others are more practical and deal with issues of the day. Newman's writing is characterized by his deep knowledge of history, his sharp intellect, and his eloquent prose. He is known for his defense of Catholicism and his critique of Protestantism, but he also engages with other religious traditions and secular philosophies. Discussions and Arguments on Various Subjects is a valuable resource for anyone interested in the intellectual debates of the Victorian era and the legacy of Newman's thought. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
