Gorgeous early reprint probably done in 1934, the date of a neatly penned inscription on flyleaf: "A. Hordern's Store Sydney 1934", which is the only previous owner marking in the book. It was first issued in 1915 when the title characters were delivering their messages in the Great War. It's a big book, at 5.5 x 7.5 in., 288 pages and a full 1.5 in. wide. It's very clean, tight, bright and trim throughout and well-constructed with high quality materials. Jacket in new mylar, 3 glossy b&w illustrations by F. Gillett. Great old book.
