Dissolution to Evolution is a book and a workbook that describes and details the Consilium Process, a new paradigm developed to help people who are thinking about divorce, to simultaneously create a parallel path of personal growth. Education about the law is combined with compassion for the social and emotional consequences of divorce. By merging the usually compartmentalized silos of law and psychology, family outcomes are optimized. A better understanding of the legal process and child-centered thinking disrupts the myth of "winners and losers" and leads to healthier restructured families.

The book highlights and details common, relatable scenarios, presents thoughtful options and constructs optimal outcomes. Various legal processes are described, building an understanding of options and giving agency to those undergoing divorce. The inclusion of a workbook helps people structure and pre-think their process. At a time when raw emotion often prevails, the workbook acts as a personal guide helping to create a personal roadmap built on a foundation of logic.

Heidi-Rachel Webb has been licensed to practice law in Massachusetts and before the Federal District and Appeals Courts since 1986. She joined her family's law firm, Webb, Webb and Martin, established by her grandfather in 1912 and developed her practice in the area of family law, representing both adult parties and children. Heidi is trained as a mediator, a litigator, and a Collaborative Attorney. Prior to becoming a lawyer, she received her Master's degree in Education from Harvard University where she concentrated in Counseling and Consulting Psychology, and then worked for the Massachusetts Department of Social Services investigating cases of child abuse and neglect. She has also worked for the Mental Health Legal Advisors Committee advising psychiatric patients of their legal rights and the Office of the Middlesex County District Attorney. Heidi's path ultimately led her to merge her practices in psychology and law, develop the Consilium® Process, and establish Consilium® Divorce Consultations. Julie Kunce Field was appointed to Colorado's 8th Judicial District Court bench in 2011. Before her appointment to the bench, Julie served as a mediator and an acclaimed national trainer on family law, litigation, and mediation issues; she was the founder and Executive Director of the Confidentiality Institute. She has also served as a law professor and law clinic director at the University of Michigan, Washburn Law School, and the University of Denver College of Law.

Before her teaching career, Julie was in private practice with the firm Nutter, McClennen and Fish in Boston, Massachusetts. She received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Chicago Law School in 1985 and received her Bachelor of Arts magna cum laude from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1982.
