Dissonance Volume I: Reality

We thought they were angelic messengers. We were wrong.

In 2026 the gorgons drifted down through the clouds: pale, telepathic nightmares whose gaze freezes prey so they can be eaten alive. 16 years later, 85% of humanity is gone. Survivors huddle in fortified blockades, moving only in silence, never daring to look.

Sergeant Cameron 'Jet' Shipley and his younger brother Rutty serve the blockade at Clarksville, Tennessee. Orphaned by the invasion, they have buried family, friends, and most of their faith. When a new recruit arrives with proof of a hidden alien-wrought weapon - an amulet that might finally pierce the gorgons' invulnerability - Jet is ordered on a near-suicidal mission to implant a tracker on a live specimen. The operation collapses in blood and betrayal.

As Jet uncovers a conspiracy that has deliberately buried humanity's best hope, trust fractures inside the ranks. Loyalties snap. The true enemy may no longer be the monsters outside, but the leaders who decided survival required sacrificing the truth. Jet must choose: obey the chain of command that has kept them alive, or risk everything on one shard of alien power, a ragged found family of fighters, and the unbreakable bond between two brothers.

Dissonance Volume I: Reality is a relentlessly faith-based, cinematic, post-apocalyptic end-times alien invasion Christian thriller of resistance, conspiracy - and the raw cost of hope.
