About the Author

Ron Howard has been involved in language teacher education for ten years and has been Development Coordinator for Distance Learning at IALS, University of Edinburgh for the last five years. His other interests include English for Special Purposes and he has published materials on English for Doctors. Ian McGrath's post as Development Coordinator for Teacher Education at IALS reflects his continuous involvement in language teacher education since the early 1970s. His main interests lie in the design and evaluation of courses and materials and in the methodology of teacher education.
