Tabloid newspaper format. 20 pp. Black and white photos throughout. Single issue of this long running underground newspaper from Philadelphia. Founded in 1967, Distant Drummer was published until 1979, undergoing a few name changes. It published pieces on social justice, police brutality, the counterculture and anti-war, often running afoul of Philadelphia police chief Rizzo. This issue with a few pieces on bands, an article on Philadelphia student protests and the police, etc. GOOD condition. Two inch area along the upper fore edge nibbled on and missing a shallow half moon. Mailing label present. Minor toning and soiling. Faint horizontal fold crease present. Seller Inventory # 021773
