From the Back Cover
Distinctive North Carolina, Volume 2, presents a pictorial journey covering the great state of North Carolina. The book is separated into three different sections exploring each distinguishing area of the state: the Mountains, the Piedmont, and the Coastal Plains. In addition to the approximately700 full color photographs, the book has brief summaries of over 30 towns, cities, or counties highlighted from the 100 counties located in North Carolina. This book is a continuation of images from the original Distinctive North Carolina book. Volume 2 begins with the gorgeous waterfalls in the Mountain Plain, continues to areas of interest in the Piedmont Plain, and finishes with the white sanded beaches of the Inner and Outer Banks of North Carolina. The book features farmers, the military, and wonderful everyday hard-working people as as favorite places where people like to go in this magnificent state, along with brief historical tidbits as well. Our hope is this book will serve as a baseline for years to come as to what life was like in North Carolina at this time in our history. Enjoy!
