In 2036 AD, Dean Filby steps across the boundary of time to rescue Malachi from certain death, plucking the Morlock from a fatal plunge over the Knobel-Aeolis Mensae Forest Waterfalls on Cydonia in the year 500,000 AD.
But mercy has a price.

Originally from 689,789 AD, Malachi is a Premier Historian who fought to unify the Eloi and Morlocks before resource depletion caused extinction-level damage to both species. Instead, a broken temporal Archway cast him far back into the past—marooning him for nearly eighty years while a severe, clinical depression known as The Hollow fractured his mind. Now, inside the classified Trident Facility, Director Filby offers him a profound second chance: the choice to help surgically alter the course of time.

Dean has recovered an impossible artifact from 779,347 AD—an Aeterna Stone. This black obsidian recorder, could hold the buried truth behind the collapse of the eras, but only Malachi’s unique Morlock biology can unlock it.

Every psychic connection drags him deeper into the parallel lives of Avena, a peaceful surface Eloi, and Envarra, a terrifyingly feral Morlock. Both are pregnant, and their shattered futures hold the genesis of how an entire world devolved into a cannibalistic nightmare—the critical missing piece that leads to the catastrophic outcome of 802,701 AD.

Dean can give Malachi the best medicine 2036 has to offer.

He can dim the lights.

He can shield his mind with an advanced neural-lace.

He can promise him dignity—and a mysterious, five-fold reward.

But he cannot guarantee the stone won’t kill him.

As the deep-future memories grow darker and the terrifying truth begins to bleed through, Malachi must decide whether redemption is worth dying for—and whether the timeline can still be repaired before the darkness of 802,701 AD becomes inevitable.
