About the Book
Born in a family of academia and at a time when conventional professions such as engineering, medicine, and banking were embraced, R C Gupta chose to be different by pivoting to the hospitality industry, still at its infancy then. He completed his hotel management from the Institute of Hotel Management, Catering & Nutrition, Pusa, New Delhi.
From humble beginnings as a management trainee, he then carves out an illustrious career at India Tourism Development Corporation, heading many hotels and divisions such as the Duty Free.
This book takes you through Gupta’s enigmatic journey and shares his ideas, experiences and strategies, relevant for aspiring hoteliers even today.
Gupta also encounters many hurdles in this journey but overcomes them through his grit, confidence and determination, and earns the prestigious Hall of Fame award by his Alma Mater.
