Divine Algorithm: Science, Spirituality, and the Search for Ultimate Reality (Revised Edition)

The Divine Algorithm asks a question most books about science and faith are afraid to sit inside: not whether God exists, but whether there's a discoverable pattern running beneath both the physical universe and the human interior life-and what happens when you use the best tools science has and the deepest tools contemplative tradition has offered, honestly, on the same question.

Moving from Akhenaten's failed monotheism to Einstein's "biggest blunder," from Darwin's crisis of faith at his daughter's bedside to a Franciscan nun's brain on a scanner, this revised edition treats cosmology, evolution, neuroscience, and mysticism as two instruments pointed at one reality-one built to measure, one built to mean-and refuses to let either one claim more than it has earned. No easy synthesis. No comfortable resolution. Just the clearest map yet of exactly where certainty runs out, and what an honest life looks like standing at that edge.

Berns Pen writes literary and speculative fiction that explores belief, power, and the fragile line between faith and control.

His stories dive into philosophical questions about morality, identity, and systems that shape human behavior-often placing ordinary people inside extraordinary moral dilemmas.

Blending symbolism, realism, and speculative thought, his work speaks to readers who enjoy fiction that challenges assumptions rather than offering easy answers.

When not writing, he explores ideas at the intersection of spirituality, psychology, and human resilience.
