Written by Isaac Watts, an English Congregational minister, hymn writer, theologian, and logician. He was a prolific and popular hymn writer and is credited with some seven hundred and fifty hymns. Bound by Remnant & Edmonds, London. In the original full cloth binding. Externally, sound with rubbing and light bumping to the extremities. Minor fading with the odd small mark to the boards. Minor loss of the cloth to the board tips. Hinges starting but firm. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd spot. Contemporary ink inscription to the front endpaper with bookseller's label to the front pastedown. Bound by Remnant & Edmonds, London. Good.
