About the Author
Stan is a sought-after expert who regularly provides financial commentary at national conferences, in print and online publications, and on TV. He has appeared in USA Today, Working Women magazine, MONEY, Good Housekeeping, and Northern Virginia magazine. Stan has been a featured speaker at the Women's Center in Virginia on the financial aspects of divorce. For twenty years, he published the News and Views, a quarterly newsletter covering financial topics; in the Rappahannock Record, he penned a weekly column, "Stan's Financial Corner"; and he co-wrote and taught the Economic Issues in Divorce curriculum, which is a required course for mediator certification at Northern Virginia Mediation Service (NVMS). Stan works closely with foremost family law firms throughout the Mid-Atlantic providing financial expertise, and he regularly serves as an expert witness and financial coach in divorce cases.
Stan currently lives in Great Falls, Virginia, with his wife, Jayme. When they're not spending time with their adult children and grandchildren, the couple enjoys traveling and golfing. On occasion, Stan still takes to the seas in his sailboat and visits some of his old haunts in the Chesapeake Bay.
