Djedefre (The Pyramid Builders)

When Pharaoh Khufu dies, the kingdom looks to his chosen heir, Djedefre. But power never passes cleanly in the royal court of Egypt. With rivals in his own bloodline and unrest among the priesthood, Djedefre must secure his place before he loses it.
Choosing to break with tradition, he moves his tomb from Giza to Abu Rawash--a decision that angers the powerful cult of Ra and widens rifts within his family. As whispers of rebellion rise and loyalties shift, Djedefre must face betrayal not from enemies--but from those closest to him.
Djedefre is a richly layered entry in The Pyramid Builders series, offering a compelling look at a ruler whose reign may have been short, but whose choices changed the course of Egypt's Fourth Dynasty.
