Doctrine of Christ: Douay-Rheims (Paperback or Softback)

In the New Testament Scriptures, Christ's teaching substance is dispersed among the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. ‘Doctrine of Christ’ serves its readers by assembling those teachings and organizing them by topic. Including every theological concept, prophecy and the parables related to them, this work contains what has been recorded of Jesus Christ's communications both publicly, to the masses, and privately, to the Apostles.

It is known from both Church tradition and secular scholarship that the Gospel narratives capture many overlapping stories and teachings of Jesus. However, because each author emphasized certain aspects of the life and ministry of Christ over others, the Gospels have various focal themes. For this reason, Church tradition holds fast that the four Gospels, when read together, faithfully represent the true and whole teachings of Jesus necessary for any professing Christian in order to know, love and serve God as He desires.

Saving readers time, attention and energy in searching out a multitude of pages of Scripture to get Jesus’ revealed perspective on any given matter, ‘Doctrine of Christ’ encourages a more immediate connection to the Founder of the Christian Religion. The essential outcome of this approach is catechism with Christ Himself.

While recognizing the value of Biblical commentaries, expositions and theological treaties, ‘Doctrine of Christ’ avoids making use of human opinions and rather intends to place readers directly with the source of Christian theology.

Furthermore, to excite prayer, meditation and devotion, ‘Doctrine of Christ’ is complete with epic illustrations from the great renaissance artists as well as several outstanding modern works. Whether for personal use or evangelism's sake, this work is surely profitable for the formation of sound Faith.
