This book is designed to supplement the 2025 Doctrine and Covenants Come, Follow Me Church curriculum year. The Doctrine and Covenants beautifully illustrates that the Lord Jesus Christ lives and speaks today. This volume teaches the restored gospel of Jesus Christ by exploring how the Doctrine and Covenants teaches doctrine, principles, laws, prophecies, typologies, and gospel applications by integrating both spiritual and secular understanding and insights.
About the Authors
Kenneth L. Alford, PhD, is a professor of Church history and doctrine at Brigham Young University. He has served as the BYU Religious Education Teaching Fellow and the Ephraim Hatch Teaching Fellow and is an honorary life member of the Utah State Historical Society.
Mary Jane Woodger, EdD, is a professor of Church history and doctrine at Brigham Young University. Dr. Woodger has written and published over twenty books. She has also authored numerous articles on doctrinal, historical, and educational subjects.
Mark A. Mathews, PhD, is a religious educator for the Church Educational System. He has taught for twenty years in seminaries, institutes, and as an instructor for BYU Religious Education. He is the author of numerous doctrinal articles published in the Liahona, Ensign, Religious Educator, and Meridian Magazine.
