The Doctrine of Future and Endless Punishment, Logically Proved, in a Critical Examination of Such Passages of Scripture as Relate to the Final Destiny of Man

The Doctrine Of Future And Endless Punishment, Logically Proved, In A Critical Examination Of Such Passages Of Scripture As Relate To The Final Destiny Of Man by Reune Runyon Coon. This work is a polemical biblical treatise arguing for the traditional Christian doctrine of eternal punishment for the finally impenitent. It opens with a commitment to truth and a critique of universal restoration, and proceeds to examine key scriptural passages related to the final destiny of man. The author advances his case through a series of carefully structured arguments, canonical rules of interpretation, and detailed analyses of terms such as olam/olam and aionios (eternity), as well as terms like Gehenna and Tartarus. Central proofs include a bodily resurrection, the division of humanity into the righteous and the wicked, and the eternal nature of the punishment meted out at the end of time. The volume is a thorough, exegetical defense of the eternity of punishment and the final judgment, contrasting it with the eternal blessedness promised to the righteous.
