Synopsis
In the depths of the milky way galaxy, God is no longer a happy. . . God. His powers are failing fast and against all better judgement he is forced to turn to Satan for some help. The galaxy is overrun by missionaries, self proclaimed deities and intergalactic space baboons. The one original deity which could sort out the whole mess is running out of time. On a small insignificant planet in an incredibly massive insignificant part of space, a group of criminally insane aliens has hijacked a missionary battleship, eaten the crew and set out to Earth with only the hungriest of motives. Gregory, a self proclaimed God of all things and creator of the universe, is beginning to tire of the ridicule and blasphemy encountered when he preaches his supremacy. He sees but one option to prove himself to the universe, he must hunt down and destroy the universe's most deadly fighting force - the Intergalactic Space Baboons. The ISB's, emerge from their mythical status to be caught in fiction for the first time ever. Unfortunately they are hell bent on destroying all intelligent life in the universe, and their next target is Earth. Their ancient leader, Nyani, consumed with hate and resentment forces his followers to commit unspeakable acts of atrocity. But a newcomer, Gretta, an 89 year old Jewish woman is going to do battle with him to challenge him for command of his army. She has only one advantage, God and Satan are both on her side. Gregory, the ISB's and the criminally insane aliens approach Earth, only one thing is for sure, if all of the characters killed each other in a spectacular battle, the universe would be better off without them.
About the Author
Growing up in the relative peace and quiet of the Suffolk countryside (I say relative as the peace was often shattered by the sound of bombs exploding totally desecrating their supply of childhood cuddly toys) they became adults. One grew up to respect and revere the environment, spending time hugging and naming trees developing a closeness with nature. She also wished to wipe out 95% of the population, allowing nature to flourish yet again. Now the other one is a totally different kettle of fish. He harbored ideas of making weapons of mass destruction, thus one day perhaps enabling his sibling to accomplish those desires. But they realized that those dreams had to be put aside as they were law abiding citizens and did not want to get into trouble. Luckily they found humour to be a fantastic weapon in itself and thought it would be much more fun to write a satirical novel instead and just wind up the religious fraternities of the world. Their book epitomises the bringing together of those two extraordinary minds. By Karan Williams, mother of three, guardian of the Gordon.
