Reviews

It is difficult to get past even the first page of Dogs Dogs Dogs without laughing out loud. Dog lovers, cartoon lovers, even cat lovers will not be disappointed. There's a dog for every taste, from pit bulls and mangy mutts to St. Bernards and poodles. Gross has assembled a hilarious batch of more than 300 cartoons by the finest: George Booth, Charles Saxon, Gahan Wilson, Charles Addams, Joseph Farris, a multiude of others, and, of course, Gross, himself. There's even an index to help readers quickly locate their favorite artists. Some of the selections are reprints; some appear for the first time in this book. Recommended: the yuks are (arf?) worth the bucks. Carol Spielman Lezak, General Learning Corp., Highland Park, Ill.
