About the Author

Born in Scotland, Ishbel Moore emigrated as a teenager to Canada with her family in 1967. She is married and has three school-aged children. She lives in Winnipeg, Manitoba. For relaxation, she enjoys golf, needlepoint and gardening.

Ms. Moore has twice been the winner of the CAA (Manitoba) Short Fiction Award, was honoured with a Woman of Distiction Award in 1994 by the Winnipeg YM-YWCA, and received the Kathleen Strage Memorial Award for Distinguished Service to the Manitoba branch of Canadian Authors in 1998.
