About the Author

Ruth Turk, formerly an English teacher and guidance counselor in the New York City schools, turned to research, writing, and lecturing when she left the school setting. Her first published works were for adults: You're Geting Older-So What? appeared in 1976, and in 1980 her first novel, More Than Friends, was published. Ruth Turk has an M.A. degree in Education and is a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers.
