Don Bender: Partner in Community Revitalization

Don Bender: Partner in Community Revitalization is the autobiography of a well known businessman, a considerable part of the energy behind the development of the Little Five Points area of Atlanta. Don grew up as a conservative Mennonite and became a convinced Quaker (member of Atlanta Friends Meeting). He tells engaging stories from all parts of his interesting life.

"In this memoir, you will read more about his remarkable times in Little Five Points, many of which we shared. And by "shared" I mean we both put "it" all on the line together, such as, personally guaranteeing loans as rates soared to over 20 percent, and signing long-term leases for two decrepit former movie theaters. In all of this, as well as today, Don has been the sort of person you can trust to continue being that way, even if no one is looking." (Kelly Jordan, from the Foreword
