Don Pasquale: Vocal Score (Ricordi Opera Vocal Score)

Gaetano Donizetti's Don Pasquale is presented here as a piano and vocal score with Italian and English text translated by G Mead. Designed for singers, pianists, vocal coaches, conductors, and opera enthusiasts working with the score, this edition brings the vocal writing and piano accompaniment together for learning, rehearsal, score study, and performance preparation.

The book contains piano and vocal notation for Donizetti's Romantic Italian opera, allowing vocal lines and accompaniment to be followed together throughout the music. Fourteen listed selections provide familiar arias, ensembles, and scenes from the opera, while the bilingual Italian and English presentation offers useful textual context when studying the vocal writing.

Keeping the vocal parts and piano accompaniment in one score makes this edition useful for individual score study as well as collaborative rehearsals. Singers can explore Donizetti's melodic writing alongside the accompaniment, while pianists and coaches can work directly from the corresponding piano and vocal material. The Italian and English text also supports closer attention to language, dramatic expression, phrasing, and the relationship between words and music.
