Can I Be Done Now? (Paperback)

Paperback. Remember sitting at the dinner table as a young child, trying to get out of finishing your meal? I do. and as parents, most of us relive that ritual (daily!) as we interact with our own children at mealtime. A child's palette for eating can sometimes become quite particular, or even nonexistent, so that even the simplest of foods morph into unbearable millstones for children, with their only thought being, "Can I be done now?" Can I Be Done Now? is a 75-word picture book featuring a mother and son trying to find common ground on the brink of a culinary showdown over what should be a slam-dunk food choice: chicken nuggets. The common, relatable, and humorously repetitious "negotiating" between child and parent is a script that kids and parents alike will laughingly identify with.
