Before scripting mainstream superhero titles like 52 and Seven Soldiers, Morrison was known for decidedly outre takes on the genre. One of the most outlandish was his radical recasting of the 1960s team, the Doom Patrol. This collection of his early nineties run sees Mr. Nobody, leader of the Brotherhood of Dada, run for president; sentient roadway Danny the Street dream a cosmic adventure that's an homage to seminal superhero artist Jack Kirby; and the Chief, the patrol's scientific genius founder, reveal the sinister secret behind its origins.
