Limited edition, one of 600 numbered copies. Slim 8vo. 44pp. Cloth-backed decorated paper-covered boards with a title label to the upper board. Just a sliver of discolouration to the board margins, and a small area of moisture marking to the rear board, pastedown and endpaper. A good bright copy in slightly toned and spotted decorated dust wrapper, with a little loss from the spine panel ends, a slightly jagged enclosed tear and a small ink blemish. A thinly veiled fictional satire of the Douglas Cause, a 1760s Scottish legal dispute over the inheritance of the Duke of Douglas's estate, which is originally published anonymously in 1767.
