With warmth, honesty, and a touch of humor, author Doris Rauschenbach takes you behind the scenes of her own writing journey, from uncertain beginnings and quiet doubts to polished pages and hard-earned wisdom.

Whether you're a first-time writer, someone ready to brush off a long-forgotten manuscript, or simply wondering about what it really takes to get started, this book offers encouragement without ego, practical advice without pressure, and honest insight from someone who's been there.

Inside, you'll find:

• Lessons from critique services and editors

• Stories of setbacks and second chances

• Writing tips for beginners and late bloomers

• A reminder that it's never too late to begin

• A list of professional resources to support you on your journey

You don't need a writing degree, a vast vocabulary, or even a sacred space to be an author. All you need is a pen, courage, and an unwavering commitment to tell the story that's begging to be heard.

Doris Rauschenbach is an author of easy-to-read true stories that are both evocative and entertaining. Her hard-earned wisdom shines through as she takes the reader deep inside her world of being a wife, mother, daughter, and friend. She teaches all who read her essays that the journey through life is filled with moments that may not always be seen as the precious gifts they are. She will comfort you with her words of courage and warmth. She will make you laugh out loud with her collection of humorous tales. Through stories of her life and the way she sees the world, Doris reminds readers of the importance of recognizing that we are only human.
